His decision to enter the film industry full time was made after he decided to make a clean break from corporate America and focus his business talents and creative energy in the film industry, as was his primary passion since 1986, when a casting director approached him and asked for a screen test, landing him the lead in a series of Pizza Hut commercials with Rich Hall .

Erick has also had several principal commercial roles, produced and appeared in several films shot from Los Angeles to Dallas, as well as appearing on "Prison Break"  (2005) as Agent Hara.

Producing seems to be the backbone of Erick's creative strengths as he's preparing to air two new original programs this spring, titled "Beyond the Velvet Rope" starring the Krupa Sisters Joanna Krupa and Marta Krupa, and "Critical Diagnosis" hosted by Leeza Gibbons. Most recently off the heels of shooting the 30-year reunion for the hit series "Dallas" (1978), and Larry Hagman, Erick's focus moving forward will most likely be producing, writing, and directing original works with his wife 'Julie J.
